Subject: Windows 95 Memory... Gone!
Date: Tue, 01 Oct 1996 09:02:27 -0400

I have been using NT Emacs for a while now, and have noticed
that my machine has been running slowly when Emacs is alive.
Someone just showed me how to use the System Monitor utility
to look at available memory. Before I run Emacs, it looks
something like this:

2.4M *
         *
... *
         *
         *
0 *

When Emacs is running, it is like this

2.4M

...

0 *

Does anybody know how to get Emacs, even "Idle" to let go of
some memory for others? (Like the old addage goes:
Even Makes A Cray Slow).
