Subject: Outline-mode in 19.31 and 19.33 (selective-display problem, I guess)
Date: Mon, 26 Aug 1996 17:26:27 +0000

If I kill a portion of text that is hidden (in outline mode)
displayed as f.i. "\chapter{blabla}..."
then yank-it, it is displayed as a single line. That is all the (^M)'s,
that were separating the lines instead of (^J)'s, have been eaten. I
have seen this on 19.31 and 19.33. I don't know whether the problem
occurs at kill-time or at yank-time...

I have not seen this in the FAQ and things seem ok on the SUN, so I
guess it's a problem specific to NT.

Is there any fix for this?

Thanks,

Dominique

Subject: outline-mode
Date: Fri, 23 Aug 1996 17:55:40 +0200

With ntemacs-19.33, when I am in outline-mode:
M-x hide-body
move point to the beginning of an entry,
C-k C-k
C-y

The two C-k's kill the whole entry (title and contents plus newline), seem OK
When yanking it back, the whole appears as one single line, that is
all formatting is gone. This forbids moving sections easily using
outline-mode, a bit annoying.

Is this a side-effect of supporting the cr-lf separated lines in the
NT specific version or is it that a bug in the latest version of
selective-display?

Has anyone else seen this? Is there a variable I should have set
which I did not? Is there a fix?

Thanks for any help.
D.
