tkWorld is not really a desktop, but rather a collection of graphical user interfaces to standard Unix commands. Built with Unix users in mind, it maintains the intregrity and features of the Unix operating system, but does not compromise the Unix philosiphy of using small tools together to solve a large problem. Unlike other desktops and tools, this package does not force MS-Windows features, which do not fit into Unix, on you or the operating system. For the most up to date information on tkWorld, check out the Official Website.
