You may obtain a copy of the tcl/tk interpreter (Version >= 8.0)from http://www.scriptics.com/. To install the program, unzip/untar the file info a directory of your choice. On Un*x systems, /usr/local/tKwhois is recommended. On Windows, c:\tKwhois is recommended and on Macintosh systems it's recommended that you decompress the file to the folder you have TCL/TK installed. If you are using Windows, please use Winzip or some other software that supports nested directories and long filenames. Make sure there is a directory called tmp in the root directory where you store your files. Next... If you're on a UN*X System: * edit "tKwhois" shell script Change PATH_TO_WISH to the location of the wish binary Change TKWHOIS_HOME to the directory to the same as in the shell script. * Put tKwhois in your path (/usr/local/bin or /usr/bin) or change your path to include ${TKWHOIS_HOME) * Make sure your DISPLAY environment variable is set, and that the script has been chmoded to make it executable. Type "tKwhois" to start the script Or if you're on a Win(doze) system: * Associate all ".tcl" files with the Wish appplication. * Double-click on "tKwhois.tcl" icon to start the script. On on a Mac: * Start the Wish interpreter. * "cd" to the Folder in which tKwhois lives. * type "source mactKwhois".
