These PostScript files are the table of contents, manual pages and
index for Tcl/Tk version 8.0p2. They should be printed on a single
sided, letter or A4 printer. The "user.ps" file documents the user
commands. The "c-int.ps" file documents the C interface.

If you have access to a double sided printer get the
tcl-tk8.0p2-man-2ps.tar.gz instead. See the tcl-tk8.0p2-man-2ps.README
file for more information.

The covers subdirectory contains nice color covers for the individual
documents. You will need to print the file that is appropriate for your
type of printer (letter or A4).

The above files are located in the /languages/tcl/sorted/info/man
subdirectory of the Tcl/Tk ftp archive (ftp.neosoft.com) or at
http://www.neosoft.com/tcl/ftparchive/sorted/info/man. You may also
find them at other Tcl/Tk archives.

Some things to note are the following:

1. For the double sided version all the manual pages start on an odd
numbered page and there are an even number of pages in the document.
They should also put your printer in duplex mode if it has double
   sided capabilities.

2. Manual pages which define multiple commands or have aliases are only
printed once; though each of the commands or aliases will have a
table of contents and index entry pointing to this location. In the
table of contents the current command/alias name is followed by the
other command/alias name(s) parenthesized and at a reduced point size.

3. The index is built using the command(s) name, aliases if any, the
items in the KEYWORDS, COMMANDS, SUBCOMMANDS, WIDGETCOMMANDS and
VARIABLES sections of the manual page. The page number in the index
is the first page of the referenced manual page. Variables are
italicized and have their own index entry, the rest are grouped
together. Commands and the page they are defined on are printed in
bold. The individual SUBCOMMANDS have an index entry and both
SUBCOMMANDS and WIDGETCOMMANDS are listed after the commands name in
   the index.
