Xccm version 1.0. A cc:Mail addin utility for TCL. Electric Memo Ltd. All Rights Reserved. *** What is it? *** Tcl is a great scripting language from SunSoft; makers of Java. Xccm is an add-in utility for Tcl to give access to the cc:Mail API. It extends the language with a set of commands useful for cc:Mail Administrators on the Win32 platform. It hides a lot of the complexity of VIM programming which makes using it easy. Its ideal for harassed Admins, integrators and those moving over to NT routing. *** Release Notes *** No Bulletin Board or Archive maniplulation commands as yet. I can't get them to work properly with 6.02. Registered users will get a free upgrade in due course. *** Installation requirements. *** Windows NT 3.5/4.0 or Windows 95. (In theory it should work on Win3.1 with Win32s installed.) The 32 bit VIM runtime set (version 6.02 is latest and works with DB6/DB8 POs). This can be downloaded from the Lotus site at http://www.ccmail.com Or, if you have the cc:Mail CD look for VDLW32.ZIP in the SUPPORT directory. << Make sure you read the Lotus licensing about using VIM. >> Tcl 7.4 - 7.6 (latest release version) This can be downloaded from Sunscript at http://www.sunscript.com It won't work with the 8.0 a2 'Alpha code'. Sorry, but I'm waiting for them to get their bugs out before I add mine. cc:Mail with DB6 or DB8 post office. *** Installation. *** Unzip XCCM01.ZIP Copy Xccm.dll and pkgIndex.tcl to your TCL lib directory. Copy MSVCRT40.DLL to your SYSTEM32 directory. Quick Test (Remember Tcl is case sensitive!). Run Tclsh or Wish and at the % prompt type package require Xccm it should reply with 1.0 now type ccm_Query you should get {Version 100} CCMAIL now type ccm_Stop you should get ok. If you get messages about VIM or MSCVCRT40 then its most likely it can't find them. *** Examples *** I've include a couple of examples to get you going :- Command Line scripts. (Run using Tclsh76.exe) * mklist. Creates mailing lists from all local users * mkusr. Creates directory entries. Windows scripts. (Run using wish76.exe) * Wmkusr. Simple windowed user creator. *** Legal Stuff. *** Xccm is distributed as shareware in an archive named XCCMxx.ZIP where xx is the version number.
